Dear Parents,
The Middle School and Junior High Orchestra students will be going on a field trip on Wednesday, February 21, 2001. We will be attending the Columbus Symphony’s Young People’s Concert at the Ohio Theater. We will leave school at 9 AM. The Booster Association for String Students (BASS) has purchased the tickets for this event and each school will pay for the transportation. We will return to school between 1-1:30 PM. Students are responsible for the class work that is missed during their absence. We are anticipating an educational and exciting trip!
The students are to dress for the occasion. A nice outfit (no T-shirts or jeans, please) is expected since we will be representing Reynoldsburg City Schools. Please remind your child about the dress requirement on Wednesday morning. Thank you.
After the concert, we will stop at Hometown Buffet to eat lunch. The cost of lunch will be $6.50 per person. Lunch money must be pre-paid to Mrs. M. Smith, Mrs. Gaulke or Mrs. L. Smith by Friday, February 9. You may pay cash or write a check payable to BASS.
Mrs. Gaulke, Mrs. L. Smith and I need some parent volunteers. We need twenty (20) parents to help chaperone the Middle School students and 12 parents are needed for the Junior High. If you can help, please let us know as soon as possible. This trip will only be possible with the help of parents. Chaperones will be on a first come basis. Assume you will be helping unless Mrs. M Smith, Mrs. L. Smith or Mrs. Gaulke notifies you. Thank you.
Permission slips and lunch money for students and chaperones are due no later than Friday, February 9. If a student does not have his/her permission slip and money in on time, he/she will not participate in the field trip. Orchestra students are responsible people and therefore, can meet deadlines!
If you have any questions about this field trip, please call Mrs. M. Smith, Mrs. L. Smith or Mrs. Gaulke at school (866-2813).
Sincerely,
Marie Smith
