Fifth Grade 

Fall Parent/Student Night

Our BASS president welcomed the parents and students and introduced them to

the Booster Association for String Students.

Meanwhile volunteer high school orchestra members helped hand out packets and tune instruments.

After introductions and tuning some additional information was shared

and the cellos and basses went to another room for more instruction on their instruments.

Cellos and Basses

Mrs. M. Smith introduced the cello and bass students to the basics...

The cello students learned how to place their instruments in their cases, 

place them on the floor, pick them up and hold them while playing.

Afterwards the students had an opportunity to demonstrate what they had learned

 Bass students had an opportunity to try out their instruments too.

Violins and Violas

The violins and violas were learning about their instruments as well.

Here we see a demonstration of the "statue of liberty" once everyone got back together.

Parents had an opportunity to try as well.

By this time the high school students were able to relax.
