Fourth Grade Parent/Students Night

We had another great turn out of parents and students interested in the strings program.
The Teachers told us about the program and the instruments.

Mrs. Vansant told us where string instruments came from.
In the beginning there were coconuts, deer, hunter/gatherers and GUTS! Yes GUTS!
The hunter/gatherers gathered coconuts and hunted the deer.
One night after the big feast some guts (Yech! Are they disgusting) landed on the coconut shells.
They dried and the hunter/gatherers discovered that they could make sounds.
The High School Orchestra Students Played for us...
Each of the instruments was demonstrated by a High School student....

The High School Orchestra played while the Fourth Graders watched...
...then the Fourth Graders tried...
... and after that the High School Orchestra played while the Families watched.
Don't worry. You can get an instrument that is your size.
