5th Grade Orchestra Concert

Ice Cream Social

On December 2nd, Hannah Ashton Middle School 5th grade orchestra students performed their first concert. After the chairs were arranged and the instruments were tuned, the students impressed their parents with how much they have learned in just a few short months of Orchestra.

After the students performed, the parents had a chance to attempt to play their child’s instrument. One of the 5th graders’ favorite moments is trying to teach their parents to make a sound, which could be called musical, on their instrument.

 

Many student volunteers from the high school and junior high orchestras arrived to dish up ice cream and set out snacks, drinks and ice cream toppings. After the concert the 5th graders and their parents prepared their own ice cream sundaes, drank pop, and enjoyed the socializing.
