The concert on November 18, 1999 with the combined orchestras of Gahanna and Reynoldsburg was a great success!  Students from these neighboring schools had a chance to create wonderful music and make new friends, as well as renew old friendships.  The students put in many long hours of practice at both schools and learned that it is not always as easy to put together as they might think.  The directors also put in many hours choosing the music, discussing teaching styles, arranging the rehearsals and determining the logistics of seating (That was fun - 300 students to seat, as well as family members!).  Many thanks to the parents who helped with rehearsals, chaperoned the buses, and performed various duties the night of the concert!  Without them the concert would not have happened.  Also, thanks to Mrs. Olson, who accompanied on the piano, and to the bus drivers, who got the students to the rehearsals on time.

To the students: Thank you very much for your patience and continued practice, even when things got tough. You made the concert night a wonderful evening for your teachers!
