New York City,
Here we come!
January 20-23, 2000
The
excitement is building at RHS. The orchestra will travel to New York City, New
York the week of January 20! The trip itinerary is full. While in New York the
students will work with Constantine Kitsopoulos, conductor of the Brooklyn
Philharmonic. The forty-two students, ten chaperones, and two teachers will
attend the Russian National Symphony concert at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher
Hall. Also on the agenda will be Phantom of the Opera, the
Metropolitan
Museum of Art, the Empire State
Building, and shopping on Fifth Avenue. The Hard
Rock Cafe, John’s Pizza and the Spirit of New York dinner cruise should keep
everyone energized.
This trip is being funded by the parents, students, and BASS. The Touchdown Club will also make a sizable donation to BASS for the trip because of our work with Bingo.
It takes a great deal of planning for a successful trip, but the benefits and memories should last a lifetime!
