Welcome!

 The Orchestra class of 2009 has approximately 87 members! This is by far the largest 5th grade class ever - an increase of 20 students over last year’s record breaking class. BASS welcomes the students and their parents.

 The fifth grade students have been busy learning new skills. So far they have learned how to hold the instrument, how to do pizzicato (pluck the strings) and have started learning various songs including Mary Had a Little Lamb, Hot Cross Buns, and London Bridge. On December 4 they will present their first concert at the Ashton Middle School. Mrs. M. Smith and Mrs. L. Smith are looking forward to a great year with the fifth grade students.
