Symphony, 2002
Attention
all RHS Orchestra students! Plans are being made for a trip to Chicago, IL. The
Reynoldsburg Board of Education will have its second reading of the proposed
trip at its May 15th meeting. Hopefully, the Board will give its approval at
that time. If approval is granted Mrs. M. Smith will continue working on the
itinerary. Included in the February 14-17 trip will be a Chicago Symphony
Orchestra concert, a workshop with a professional musician, a trip to the
Chicago Institute of Art, the Hologram Museum, Sears Tower, Shedd Aquarium and
Oceanarium, and shopping on the Magnificent Mile.
All meals will be included and hotel accommodations will be at the
Embassy Suites or Holiday Inn. Transportation will be by Lakefront Bus Lines,
Inc. The anticipated cost of the trip will be between $400-450.00.
Students
will receive more information about the trip once it has been approved and
details have been worked out.
Students need to start saving now. Summer is a perfect time to earn money! Also, BASS trip/camp credits can be used for the trip. All credits from the 2000-2001 school year plus credits earned from June 2001 to February 2002 will be applied to the trip.
