Chicago!
The
RHS orchestra members have recently returned from Chicago. While in the Windy
City, the students worked with Chris Costanza, cellist of the Chicago String
Quartet. The thirty-two students, ten chaperones and three teachers attended the
Chicago Symphony Orchestra concert
featuring pieces by Ives, Beethoven, Haydn, and Hartmann. Also on the agenda
were the Museum
of Holography, Art Institute
of Chicago, the Hancock Observatory, Shedd
Aquarium and Oceanarium, and shopping on the Magnificent
Mile (Michigan Avenue). The
Hard Rock Cafe, Edwardo’s Pizza, Rainforest Cafe, and Ed Debevic’s kept
everyone energized.
It took a great deal of planning for this trip, but the benefits and memories should last a lifetime. For more pictures from our Chicago Trip go to Chicago Trip.
