WELCOME!

Dear Orchestra Parents,

Welcome back to another busy season of the Reynoldsburg Orchestra Program!  We have many special concerts and events planned which will help our students grow musically and develop skills that will last a lifetime.

Many of you know that Lydia Smith resigned at the end of last year in order to stay home with her children!  We are thrilled for her to have that opportunity and will miss her.  We would like thank Lydia for all she did to encourage our students and help them to become better musicians.

Please welcome Mrs. Sue De Voe to our orchestra “family.”  Sue was hired to take Lydia’s position, teaching 5th and 6th grade Strings at Hannah Ashton Middle School.  Sue comes to us with 30 years of teaching experience – the last 25 of which were in Newark City Schools.  Sue is a wonderful addition to our teaching staff!

Lori Gaulke will continue to teach 7th and 8th grade students at the Junior High.  Our program has grown to the point where we had to add a second 7th grade class!  Mrs. Gaulke will also teach many of the 6th grade students at the middle school.

Kathy Vansant will teach many of the 5th grade students, help Mrs. Gaulke with that HUGE 7th grade class, and continue teaching the high school orchestra.
