YOUNG PEOPLE’S CONCERT

On March 10, 1999 the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade string students attended an excellent concert performed by the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.  The students received booklets prior to the concert giving information on the composers and the various pieces of music to be performed.  We heard wonderful pieces that were written by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schumann, Brahms and Copeland.  Two actors from CATCO did the narration of interesting facts about the music and composers.  The director for this concert was Peter Stafford Wilson.

Following the concert, all went to lunch at our local Hometown Buffet.  The students received numerous compliments from other diners!  Needless to say, the students did not go back to school hungry!

Thank you very much to the chaperones who volunteered their time and made this trip possible.  We couldn’t have done it without them!  The students behaved wonderfully and were fine representatives of Reynoldsburg!
