CAMP CREDITS

Throughout the years, the Booster Association for String Students (BASS) has provided monetary assistance for music related activities, such as, summer music camps, extended field trips for the high school students, participation in the OMEA Region Orchestra, participation in the Columbus Symphony sponsored select orchestras, and various other music related experiences.  Assistance is determined by the amount of time and effort the parents put into BASS activities.  Parents earn camp/trip credits for  their child in various activities.  Each credit is worth $5.00.  Credits accumulate from June to the following June (June 1999 - June 2000).  If the student does not use his/her credits for a music related event during that year or summer, the money goes into the general B.A.S.S. fund.  The only exception to this rule is for the high school students who may use credit from the preceding year for the following year’s orchestra trip.  The camp credit checks for those students going to music camp are presented at the annual Awards Presentation.  Every student who has earned credit and is going to a music camp will receive a check made payable to the camp.

There are numerous ways to earn credits, which are worth $5.00 each.
